Fans eagerly awaiting Prabhas's upcoming horror-comedy "The Raja Saab" might have to wait a little longer. Reports suggest that the film's release, originally scheduled for April 10th, 2025, is likely to be postponed to Dussehra.
The delay is attributed to an ankle injury Prabhas sustained while filming "Fauji," a period drama where he plays a British Indian soldier. This injury has caused a temporary halt in his other projects, including "The Raja Saab," as pending shoots and VFX work remain incomplete.
While the team is working hard to meet deadlines, the summer release date seems unfeasible. The makers are now considering a Dussehra release, which aligns well with the festive season, a popular time for Tollywood film releases. However, the final decision hinges on Prabhas's recovery and the progress of post-production.
"The Raja Saab": Double the Prabhas
"The Raja Saab" has been generating significant buzz since its announcement. Reports suggest that Prabhas will be seen in dual roles, with Malavika Mohanan and Nidhhi Agerwal as the female leads. The film's unique blend of horror and comedy has further piqued the interest of fans.
Prabhas's Busy Slate
Despite the setback caused by his injury, Prabhas has a packed schedule. He is expected to resume shooting for "Kalki 2" in the summer and has multiple other projects lined up, including "Spirit," an action-packed cop drama directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. He is also committed to two more films with the "Salaar" team, promising a series of exciting releases for his fans.
With "The Raja Saab" likely postponed and a string of other projects in the pipeline, Prabhas continues to be one of the most sought-after actors in the Indian film industry.
