The upcoming film "Thandel" is set to pay tribute to the remarkable legacy of former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, particularly her unwavering commitment to bringing home Indians stranded abroad. The film, inspired by true events, highlights her efforts in securing the release of 22 fishermen held in Pakistani jails.
Producer Bunny Vasu sought permission from Sushma Swaraj's daughter, Bansuri Swaraj, to use her mother's name and real footage from press conferences in the film. The family graciously granted the necessary No Objection Certificate (NOC), allowing the filmmakers to honor Sushma Swaraj's legacy authentically.
"We are deeply grateful to Bansuri Swaraj for allowing us to showcase her mother's extraordinary work in 'Thandel'," said Bunny Vasu. "This film is a tribute to Sushma Swaraj's dedication and her unwavering commitment to serving Indians in need."
