Following the successful release of socially relevant and impactful films like "Amma Neeku Vandanam," "Campus Ampashayya," and "Pranaya Veedhullo," filmmaker Prabhakar Jaini, under the Jaini Creations banner, has brought to the screen the biopic "Prajakavi Kaloji." Starring Moola Virat, Padma, Raj Kumar, and Swapna, the film, produced by Smt. Vijayalakshmi Jaini, hit theaters on December 23rd and has been garnering critical acclaim and enjoying a successful run.
Expressing her joy, producer Smt. Vijayalakshmi Jaini shared, "It's a privilege to bring the life of Telangana's Prajakavi (people's poet) and freedom fighter Kaloji Narayana Rao to the silver screen. We poured our heart and soul into this project, working tirelessly day and night. We approached this film with an artistic vision rather than a commercial one. Our primary goal was to introduce Kaloji's legacy to future generations, particularly students. Therefore, we offered free morning shows for students, and the response has been overwhelming. We are elated that our efforts have borne fruit. This film, steeped in history, marks a significant milestone in my career. I express my sincere gratitude to the film's director and my husband, Prabhakar Jaini, for entrusting me with this project."
Director Prabhakar Jaini added, "We wanted to ensure Kaloji's message reached our students, fulfilling the very purpose of making this film. With the support of the Telangana State Government, we offered free morning shows to school children from December 23rd onwards. The response exceeded our expectations. We extend our thanks to the government officials who facilitated the film's release."
The cast includes Anwar, who shared a close association with Kaloji; PV Manohar Rao, portraying his brother PV Narasimha Rao; prominent poet Tummuru Rammohan Rao; Vaibhav Surya; Shankar; Mallikarjun; Priya; Radhika; Naresh; Rajani; Devender Reddy; YSSR Sharma, Chief Editor of Andhra Prabha, playing a Zamindar; and Mrs. India Sushma Todeti, among others.
