"'Mechanic Rocky' will be unpredictable. The audience will definitely be surprised": Hero Vishwak Sen
"Mechanic Rocky," the highly anticipated film starring Vishwak Sen, is creating a lot of buzz. Directed by debutant Raviteja Mullapudi, the film features Meenakshi Chaudhary and Shraddha Srinath as the female leads. Produced by Ram Talluri under the SRT Entertainments banner, the film's first gear, trailers, and songs have generated huge excitement. "Mechanic Rocky" is set to release on November 22nd. Vishwak Sen recently shared some interesting details about the film in a press meet.
What element in the story of "Mechanic Rocky" attracted you?
- We touched upon a burning issue of the past 4-5 years in this film. It will be very surprising when you see it on screen. You'll wonder why no one has touched upon this point till now. I did "Gangs of Godavari" and this film simultaneously. While doing that film, I had a small fear. There was a slight tension whether any other film would come out with the point we are discussing in this film. The audience will definitely be surprised by that element in "Mechanic Rocky." We are not giving a message in this film. However, those who need it can take a message from it.
- "Mechanic Rocky" will be very entertaining. There will be an adrenaline rush in the second half. The genre changes between the first and second half. Ten minutes into the second half, it becomes high-octane. There's enough material to make you cut a phone call and put the phone in your pocket. We didn't reveal much of the story in the trailer. There's a lot more to the film. It will connect with everyone.
About working with new director Raviteja Mullapudi?
- Raviteja is a very smart director. I strongly believed that he could make this film. He made it wonderfully. After watching the film, the audience will first appreciate the direction and writing.
- This film is based on true incidents. The audience will know what those incidents are. They will connect with it.
About Jakes Bejoy's music?
- I'm just back from watching the film. He nailed the background music. The music is awesome. You will enjoy all the songs.
If you have to describe this film in one word?
- This is an unpredictable movie. It will be unexpected.
Tell us about Meenakshi and Shraddha?
- All the characters in the film - me, Meenakshi, Shraddha, Naresh garu, Raghu, Sunil - all have equal importance. This is not just a hero-driven film. The screenplay will get a very good rating.
- I always wanted to do a memorable film with Sunil garu and Naresh garu. It happened with this film. Sunil and Raghu are playing anti-hero roles.
About the producer?
- Ram Talluri garu made this film with a lot of patience. I did this film along with "Gangs of Godavari." There was a long waiting period in between. He supported me a lot during this process. It's because of his patience that we have such a good product.
- I thought of having premieres only when we get a double positive. I watched it today to decide how many premieres to have. After watching it, I felt we could have any number of shows.
How did you get the idea of "Ask a good question, win a gold coin"?
- I wanted to break the pattern a bit, instead of doing it the regular way. Since we are having the press meet at a party, I wanted us to sit at a table and talk jovially. That's when I got the idea to give a gold coin for a good question. I don't know what a good question is (laughing). I got the idea. The rest is up to you to take it forward (laughing).
About new films?
- "Layla" is 60% complete. The films with Sudhakar and Anudeep will happen in parallel. We will start "Cult" in March. The writing for "Emayindi Nagaraniki 2" is underway.
