'Jathara' is the title of an upcoming action drama starring Sathish Babu in the lead. He is also the film's director. Presented by Galla Manjunath and produced by Radhakrishna Reddy and Siva Shankar Reddy, its first look poster was released on Friday.
The poster features the lead man in a dramatic, intense avatar. The actor is seen holding a sword and exuding uncontrolled fury. His long hair and piercing gaze enhance the compelling aura of his suspenseful character.
The makers said that the film is set in Chittoor, which has historically endured droughts. A black stone is revered as Goddess Paleti Gangamma by the villagers. "She is the beacon of hope and dispenser of fruits. Devotional people in the village build a temple for Her and hold a grand ritual periodically. The story also involves a landlord named Venkata Reddy, whose demise brings in its wake lots of trouble. When the faithful's resolve is tested, the whole village goes for a toss," the makers said, giving an idea of the plot.
Starring Deeya Raj as the female lead, the film also features RK Pinnapala, Gopal Reddy, Mahaboob Basha, and Sai Vikranth. Music is by Sreejith Edavana and cinematography is by KV Prasad.
