Despite the onslaught of covid or whatever, Sankranti or Pongal season is always a hotcake in Telugu states and Tamil Nadu and movies do roaring business before the states go into examination mode by March, for majority of youngsters. The Tollywood treat this time is many biggies arriving on Sankranti and one of them is ‘Veerasimha Reddy’. Balayya is all set to roar after the success of ‘Akhanda’ and again he will be seen in a dual role which is giving goosebumps to his fans. After the success of ‘Crack’, director Malineni Gopichand is also in a good form.
The film is releasing on this Sankranthi in a very grand manner on January 12th and the film team planned the pre release event on a massive scale in Ongole recently. The trailer of the much-awaited film was released and as expected there are many high voltage power packed scenes, that’s giving sleepless nights to the ardent fans of Nandamuri Balakrishna. This is a trademark of Balayya Babu’s style that is simply lauded by his fans all the time.
The trailer shows that it has all the elements his fans desire. Although it may look like the routine Rayalaseema formula of a faction story, still the mass bonanza for Sankranti makes it all the more special. Moreover, it also highlights certain anti-government dialogues directed by Balayya, who is also a TDP MLA. Moreover, the AP government clearly conveyed that due to the huge rush expected, the venue should be changed and within a short span of time, a new venue was finalized and even police cooperated. This ensured that the pre-release event took off smoothly. Despite comments that the AP government has done this intentionally, the team of this film didn’t respond.
Marking the pre-release event, Balayya said that producing films is a passion for film makers and they will continue to do so. Moreover, he praised Shreyas Media for organizing everything smoothly despite last minute venue shifts. In fact, within 24 hours, creating an alternative venue and ensuring that everything is perfect is a challenge. On this occasion, Balayya praised them once again and also thanked AP police for co-operating in this event. Despite controversies, it is nice to see Balayya showing his maturity and making sure that there are no controversies from the team and also highlighting the craze of film making that overcomes all other issues.
