Every now and then we keep hearing statements from the Tollywood personalities that the film industry is like one big family and they’re always there to support each other. However, when the situation comes, the true nature seems to come out and it reeks of selfishness, jealousy and the feeling of being unable to digest one’s success.
This discussion is coming up after looking at the cold or rather zero response from Tollywood in reference to the great achievement by the tough taskmaster S S Rajamouli. He has been conferred with the best director award 2022 for his movie ‘RRR’ by the New York Film Critics List.
This is something the entire industry should celebrate as Rajamouli has not only made his team proud but the entire Telugus and the Telugu film fraternity. This is something all celebrities should tweet, discuss about it across all forums but nobody seems to be bothered. The only consolation seems to be one tweet coming from ‘King’ Akkineni Nagarjuna but that is not good enough. An achievement like this is a Herculean task and it would take many years for another filmmaker to get there. It is a very sad situation to see this stand from the industry members.
