'Santhana Prapthirasthu' is the title of an upcoming musical family entertainer starring Vikranth (as a Hyderabadi male) and Chandini Chowdary (as a Warangal-bred woman) of the recent 'Gaami' fame in leading roles. Produced by Madhura Sreedhar Reddy and Nirvi Hariprasad Reddy, it was launched on Saturday. In keeping with the geographical backgrounds of the lead pair, the film will be shot in Warangal and Hyderabad predominantly.
Directed by Sanjeev Reddy, the film has its screenplay written by Sheikh Dawood of ''Venkatadri Express', 'Express Raja', and 'Ek Mini Katha' fame. The writing department asserted that the film addresses a contemporary issue in a non-serious tone. The film seems to be a marriage dramedy, which explains the Sanskritic title.
With music by Sunil Kashyap (who has worked on a couple of Puri Jagannadh directorials in the past), the film will commence its shoot on June 8. Happening comedian Vennela Kishore, 'Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi' fame Abhinav Gomatam, Muralidhar Goud, Jeevan Kumar, Thagubothu Ramesh, and Rachcha Ravi have been roped in for different roles. Mahi Reddy (cinematography), Kalyan Raghav (dialogues) and Sivakumar Maccha (production design) are working on the movie.
