'Aa Okkati Adakku': Glimmer of hope after negative reviews?

'Aa Okkati Adakku' was released in theatres on Friday (May 3). Soon after the morning shows in Hyderabad, the film was slapped with negative reviews by the media and YouTube channels. However, if the makers are anything to go by, the Allari Naresh-starrer has a glimmer of hope after a dull start on Day 1.

As per debutant producer Rajiv Chilaka of Chilaka Productions, the family entertainer minted Rs 1.72 Cr (gross) on its second day at the box-office. This was more than what the Malli Ankam directorial had grossed on its opening day. As per the makers, the two-day collections stand at Rs 3.34 Cr.

If true, the makers are looking at a decent box-office run. With music by Gopi Sunder, the film also features Faria Abdullah and Jamie Lever. Not many are liking the comedy episodes featuring Shakalaka Shankar and Viva Harsha. It has to be seen how much the film will collect by the end of its run.

On May 10, Satyadev's 'Krishnamma', Nara Rohit's politically motivated and propagandist 'Prathinidhi 2', 'Jithender Reddy' and a few other small films are coming out in theatres. Will these films pose a threat to 'AOA'? Let's wait and watch!
