'Kalki 2898 AD': 'Introducing Ashwatthama' video raises expectations

"From the ππˆπ†π†π„π’π“ battle of the previous Yuga to the π…πˆππ€π‹ battle of the present Yuga (sic)," the makers of 'Kalki 2898 AD' wrote, putting out the 'Introducing Ashwatthama' related to Amitabh Bachchan's character.

The video shows a pre-teen boy entering a temple premises without being aware of its cosmic significance. He attempts to know who the old man in the temple is. The boy is puzzled by the old man's self-absorbed silence and his supposed lack of ability to understand any language. And then comes the realization that he might be an extraordinary immortal. The video ends with Big B's character revealing himself as Ashwatthama, who is destined to wait for the arrival of an Avatar!

Director Nag Ashwin has raised the stakes for sure. This is the best to come out from the makers since the film's Teaser was released in July last year.

Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, the film is headlined by Prabhas. Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani and others are playing different roles. With Production Design by Nitin Zihani Choudhary, the film's cinematography is by Djordje Stojiljkovic. Its music has been done by Santhosh Narayanan.
