'Kannappa – A True Epic Indian Tale' is produced and fronted by Manchu Vishnu in the lead role. The news is that Akshay Kumar has started shooting for his debut Telugu film in Hyderabad. His portions have been shot earlier than those featuring Rebel Star Prabhas and the legendary Mollywood star hero Mohanlal.
The Bollywood actor's role in the upcoming epic actioner is pivotal to the larger scheme of things. The ongoing schedule is a "rigorous" one and will involve him shooting for crucial scenes. "A significant portion of the film's climax will be shot," the makers said. "It is thrilling to be shooting with Akshay Sir. We will kick off the film's climax together. To have an actor of his mettle joining us is a huge honour. Akshay Sir’s addition makes Kannappa a truly pan-Indian film," said Vishnu.
Akshay was today received personally by Mohan Babu and Vishnu.
Mukesh Kumar Singh is directing the movie. Hollywood cinematographer Sheldon Chau, action director Kecha Khamphakdee, and dance maestro Prabhu Deva are on board. 24 Frames Factory and AVA Entertainment are producing the movie. The music is by Mani Sharma.
