Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao awaits the release of his directorial 'Record Break', set to be released in theatres for Maha Shivaratri. Starring Nihaar, Nagarjuna, Raghda Iftekhar, and Satya Krishna in important roles, it will hit the screens in multiple languages.
The film also features Chalapati Rao, Sanjana, Tummala Prasanna Kumar, Santhi Tiwari, Soniya, and Kasi Viswanath. Its trailer was released today at an event in Hyderabad. The movie will be screened for the Tollywood media in Hyderabad a week before its theatrical release.
Speaking at the pre-release event, director Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao said that Late Chalapati Rao was there on the sets of 'Record Break' from start to end. "This is a film without heroes. But the offscreen heroes are many: cinematographer, VFX team, art director, music director, and fight master. The VFX was done for three years," he added. The director spoke of his rags-to-riches story, saying that he has always taken the film industry as his biggest source of inspiration. He said that his directorial 'Head Constable Venkataramaiah', led by R Narayana Murthy, has had a huge run in the digital scape.
Guest and producer Prasanna Kumar spoke of the philanthropic activities of Chadalavada, whose passion for cinema has made him channel profits from his timber business into films. With 'Bicchagadu' in 2016, he scored a massive hit in Telugu. "That film ran for 100 days without a deficit in the Telugu States. He ran full-age ads in Telugu dailies to publicize that film. Such is his passion. He doesn't go by the names of artists. He has made 'Record Break' because of his firm belief that content is the king," Prasanna Kumar added.
Writer Angireddy Srinivas said that he is indebted to Chadalavada for encouraging him to write for the big-scale movie. "Those who enable you to grow in life are gods themselves. That's the theme of 'Record Break'," he added.
The film's music is by Sabu Vargees. Its cinematography has been done by Kantheti Shankar.
