After distributing films like 'Swamy Ra Ra', 'Karthikeya' and 'Sarileru Neekevvaru', distributor Razesh Danda became a producer with 'Samajavaragamana' (a blockbuster) and 'Itlu Maredumilli Prajaneekam'. 'Ooru Peru Bhairavakona', to be released on February 16 on a big scale, is his biggest film to date in terms of budget (Rs 25 Cr). The budget shot up by about 20% due to unavoidable factors.
In his latest interview, Razesh Danda suggests that Hasya Movies has ventured into a new phase with the fantasy thriller directed by Vi Anand of 'Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada' fame. As the most expensive movie in Sundeep Kishan's career, it is expected to be another 'Virupaksha'-like thriller from Telugu cinema. "Most of the film was shot at night and on sets. Of the 102 working days, 80 were night shoots," the producer says. "This film will have a sequel. Or, it could have a prequel based on the origin of Bhairavakona," Danda informs.
The February 14th premieres are expected to mint money like anything. "In Hyderabad, big single screens like Sree Ramulu Theatre and Vishwanath Theatre have opened bookings for paid premiers. All five shows that are open so far are sold out. We will be rolling out more shows shortly. The intent is to conduct one hundred premieres on the two days preceding the actual release," Danda says.
OPBK's CG-enabled frames have a combined run-time of nearly forty-seven minutes. "I am drawn towards subjects that present a new point. Director Vi Anand and I are extremely close. We will do another film together," Danda adds.
The film, whose music is by Shekar Chandra, also features Varsha Bollamma, Kavya Thapar, Vennela Kishore, Satya and others.
