Swathi Reddy Gunupati is making a debut at the box office this week with her film 'Mangalavaaram'. The young lady is one of the few female producers in the Telugu film industry. The daughter of industrialist Nimmagadda Prasad has bankrolled the film in collaboration with Suresh Varma M on Mudhra Media Works.
Speaking in her latest interview, Swathi shared an interesting anecdote about how she and Allu Arjun became friends many years ago. "I was studying in a college in Bengaluru. At that time, my Head of Department asked me to ensure that Allu Arjun graces the college fest as the chief guest. The HoD knew that my father knew Allu Aravind uncle. The HoD jokingly put forth the condition that my exam hall ticket wouldn't be issued unless I ensured Arjun's presence (smiles). I requested my dad to speak to Aravind uncle. Arjun was sweet enough to oblige our request. That's when I and Arjun became friends," Swathi said.
Bunny was given the entire narration of 'Mangalavaaram' by director Ajay Bhupathi. The film, led by Payal Rajput, will hit the screens on November 17.
