The Golden Globes nominations being announced for RRR this week is a matter of pride for India. The film made by Rajamouli earned two nominations, in the category of Best Non-English Language Film as well as the Best Original Song for Naatu Naatu.
RRR is the only movie from India to make the final cut among five other films from India which also included Kantara, Gangubai Kathiawadi and Chhello Show. Chhello Show is already India's official entry for the Oscars, while RRR has gone ahead as an independent entry nomination in various categories.
The Golden Globes award ceremony is being held in Los Angeles on January 10th which will be compered by Hollywood comedian Jerrod Carmichael. The team of RRR is hoping for Oscar good news and they are promoting the movie aggressively. The film stands a chance for at least one prestigious Oscar nomination.
