In the season of re-releases, when is 'Arjun Reddy' going to be re-released in theatres? We don't know as yet, but if you are waiting for 'Pelli Choopulu' and 'Dear Comrade' to be re-released, read on...
Producer Yash Rangineni, in his latest interview, confirmed that plans are afoot to re-release the movies. He recently spoke to Vijay Deverakonda about the same. "Vijay is in favour. We will release one of those two movies in 2024 on the occasion of his birthday (May 9)," he said.
'Pelli Choopulu' changed Vijay's life forever. When it was released originally in 2016, the film made Vijay a heartthrob.
But 'Dear Comrade', released in 2019, was a flop. Yash said, "As a producer, I didn't lose money on the project (but distributors did). Otherwise, I agree that 'Dear Comrade' couldn't realize its potential. The expectations from the movie were really high, thanks to 'Geetha Govindam' and 'Taxiwala'. The running time didn't work in its favour. Had the movie been 15 minutes shorter, its fate would have been different. Recently, I interacted with some audience members. They told me 'Dear Comrade' should have been a hit at the box-office."
