Announcing the title of Nani's 30th film, the makers today put out a video glimpse in which Mrunal Thakur is seen addressing the male lead as 'nanna'. This gives the impression that the 'Sita Ramam' actress might be playing Nani's daughter in the December 21st release.
Netizens are wondering if 'Hi Nanna' is a fantasy drama with a time-travel element at its core. "So, Mrunal is traveling from the future and meets her father along with the kid who is Mrunal when she is 8 years old. She wants Nani who is a scientist to fix a problem in the future. Now Nani has to choose between his 8-year-old daughter and 25-year-old daughter," wrote Santosh Eppalapally, a film enthusiast.
The plot seems plausible but not smart. Netizens countering the above theory said that a South Korean movie is least likely to have inspired 'Hi Nanna'.
There is also this view that, since Mrunal Thakur has a glamorous appearance in the video released today, she can't be playing Nani's daughter. Moreover, if she was indeed playing Nani's daughter, the makers would have done something or the other to dispel the description of Mrunal as the female lead.
We have to wait for the film's teaser to discover the genre.
