'O Saathiya' hit the screens on July 7. The Telugu-language rom-com, which is about the magic of first love, is led by Aryan Gowra and Mishti Chakravarty. Directed by Divya Bhavana and produced by Chandana Katta of Thanvika Jashwika Creations, the film is in the news over a one-of-its-kind offer.
The makers today announced that the rom-com will be screened for free for five days (from July 9 to 13) at Narayanaguda's Shanti Theatre in Hyderabad.
The poster says something like this: "If you enjoy our film, share your enthusiasm with 100 others. If you are not a fan of our film, spread your opinion throughout the entire town."
Released in theatres by UFO Cine Media Network, 'O Saathiya' is not the first film to come up with such an offer. But the scale of the offer is noteworthy. During the past few weeks, 'Mem Famous' and 'Takkar' were showcased in selected venues with complimentary screenings. However, these free shows were significantly restricted, allowing only a single screening. If the strategy of the distributors of 'O Saathiya' works, others will emulate them.
