Songwriter Anantha Sriram has been accused of penning anti-YCP and anti-Jagan writings lately. As per some YCP activists and supporters on social media, the busy lyricist anonymously works for a pro-Jana Sena political handle.
On Tuesday, the sought-after songwriter made it clear that he is in no way associated with any party. "I maintain an equal distance from all parties. There is no truth in the hearsay that I am writing things against the YCP government. I want to communicate to YCP supporters that I have no role in those writings," Sriram said.
Sriram added that he will take a political stance, if and when he wants to, quite openly and not anonymously. "If I have to support a party, I will do so openly. Currently, I am put up in the US to attend the NATA event. Once I return to Hyderabad, I will lodge a complaint against miscreants with the Cyber Crime Department," Sriram added.
