AAA Cinemas, co-owned by Allu Arjun, Sunil Narang, Murli Mohan and Sadanand Goud, is going to be inaugurated this Thursday. 'Adipurush' will be its maiden showing and will open on Friday. The property is located in Hyderabad's bustling Ameerpet.
On Wednesday, Sunil Narang of Asian Group interacted with the media. He suggested that he is very much aware of the price-sensitive nature of Indian cine-goers. Keeping this in mind, AAA Cinemas will be pricing Foods & Beverages 20% below other multiplexes. "We are opting for reasonable rates. We will offer discounts to students. Most cine-goers are middle-class people. How can they afford exorbitant prices? They can't be expected to," he added.
As for ticket prices, Narang said, it is in the hands of producers and distributors. "The exhibitor has no much say in ticket prices," he added.
AAA Cinemas, located on the 4th level of Asian Satyam Mall, has been built in anticipation of heavy crowds during festivals. "We are expecting our 5-screen multiplex to accommodate crowds seamlessly on other occasions," he added.
The Narang family runs a large number of screens in the Nizam market in association with D Suresh Babu and other partners. The Asian Group is building an open-air theatre in the Hyderabad international airport over an area of 2 acres. Sudarshan 70MM will be upgraded into a multiplex in Hyderabad. Narang is also a partner with Superstar Mahesh Babu (AMB Cinemas), Vijay Deverakonda, and Tamil actor Sivakarthikeyan. "We are also building two theatres in Adilabad. For the past 30 years, not a single new theatre has been built in that town," he added.
