'Adipurush', 'Takkar', 'Mem Famous' - other films will surely follow their ideas!

It is now emerging that Prabhas won't be giving interviews to promote 'Adipurush' ahead of the film's release on June 16. However, the film continues to be promoted in other ways - by other heroes!

Mega Power Star Ram Charan and Bollywood star hero Ranbir Kapoor have announced that they will be sponsoring 10,000 free 'Adipurush' tickets each for underprivileged kids and others. This gesture was preceded by 'Kartikeya 2' and 'The Kashmir Files' producer Abhishek Agarwal making a similar announcement. The news has grabbed enough headlines and has had the impact of accentuating promotions for the movie.

'Takkar', which hit the screens this Friday, hasn't had a great start in terms of buzz. Therefore, the makers announced a few free shows in select centres. Anybody can walk into theatres screening these shows, grab the popcorn and watch the Siddharth-starring entertainer for free.

'Mem Famous', too, screened such shows on select screens to generate enough buzz. The makers chose the occasion of Telangana formation week for the same.

If the experience of 'Takkar' and 'Mem Famous' is anything to go by, more and more films are going to join the bandwagon of holding free shows. Zero-ticket price shows offer the psychological satisfaction of housefuls to the producer. In the days of OTT when small films rarely run to packed houses, this has a feel-good impact.

In the coming days, we are going to see other producers/heroes encouraging the strategies adopted by the makers of 'Adipurush' and the other two films.
