'Rakshasa Raju' is the title of Rana Daggubati's movie with director Teja. The film will be announced a few days from now regardless of the box-office fate of 'Ahimsa', the Teja directorial starring Rana's brother Abhiram.
In his latest interview, Teja said that the structure of 'Rakshasa Raju' is modelled after the Hollywood classic, 'The Godfather'. The 1972 American crime film, directed by Francis Ford Coppola, has inspired a number of Indian films, particularly Ram Gopal Varma's 'Sarkar'. Crime and politics are two of the prominent elements of 'Rakshasa Raju'.
The 'Nuvvu Nenu' director added that the film will have the same title across languages. "I am not sure if it will be a pan-Indian film. If it is released in other languages, the title is going to be the same. That way, others will see it as a Telugu film product," Teja added.
'Ahimsa', co-starring Geethika Tiwary, Sada and others, will hit the screens on June 2. If the film becomes a blockbuster, Teja plans to invest his remuneration (the additional amount he will receive) on making content films with aspiring directors.
