Viva Harsha aka Harsha Chemudu was catapulted to fame by YouTube content and memes in the 2010s. For years, he has been cast mostly in comedy roles in Telugu films.
For a change, the entertainer has played an out-and-out tragic role in this week's release 'Men Too'. As Rahul, an IT employee, his distress evokes pity after a female colleague hurls an unthinkable allegation against him. When he is sacked by the employer, his agony pinches the audience's heart.
Is this film an indication that Harsha is slowly reinventing himself? This is not the first time that he has played a non-comedy role. Harsha's performance in the heart-rending climax of 'Colour Photo' was moving.
Seen last year in 'Kartikeya 2' and 'Bimbisara', Harsha is also known for appearing in small films like 'Pushpaka Vimanam', 'ABCD', 'Krishna And His Leela', and more.
