Sad news for Nandamuri fans!

Following the submission of 14 writ petitions by numerous organisations, including Sri Krishna Joint Action Committee, Adibhatla Kala Peetham, and Bharatiya Yadava Sangham, the Telangana High Court issued a statement on Thursday to halt work intended to be installed of NTR statue in Khammam.
It was previously proposed to erect a 54-foot-tall statue of Lord Krishna in honour of the late actor and former chief minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh.
The court ruled that any additional work must wait until further notice. Additionally, it was indicated that if they wanted to continue the installation, it had to be either Lord Krishna or the late actor—not a combination of the two.
May 28 marks NTR's 100th birthday, and his grandson actor NTR Jr was scheduled to unveil the statue in Khamman, but the high court's order played spoilsport for all the Nandamuri fans. The statue is being built at a cost of Rs 3 crore on Lakaram Tank Bund and was initiated by Telangana Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar.
