On Thursday, yet another important film fell into the lap of a non-Telugu music director. GV Prakash Kumar has been roped in for Panja Vaisshnav Tej's 4th film. He is already doing Nithiin-Rashmika Mandanna's movie directed by Venky Kudumula.
GV is not the only Tamil composer finding his space in Tollywood. Tomorrow's theatrical release, 'Custody', has songs set to tune by Yuvan Shankar Raja. He is also doing one of the upcoming movies starring Vishwak Sen.
The most important Kollywood directors around are Anirudh Ravichander and Santosh Narayanan. The former is doing NTR30 and Vijay Deverakonda-Gowtam Tinnanuri's film. The latter is doing Prabhas' 'Project K' and Venkatesh-Sailesh Kolanu's 'Saindhav'.
Ajaneesh Loknath of 'Kantara' and 'Vikrant Rona' fame recently did 'Virupaksha'. He is also doing 'Mangalavaram', directed by 'RX 100' fame Ajay Bhupathi.
Hesham Abdul Wahab from Mollywood is doing Vijay Deverakonda-Samantha's 'Kushi' and also Natural Star Nani's 30th film directed by a debutant.
It appears that SS Thaman is overloaded with work. And Devi Sri Prasad has been quite choosy. Therefore, with no option left, Tollywood directors are falling back on non-Telugu composers.
