A few months ago, in an interview, KT Rama Rao claimed that BJP is funding some propaganda films. He even named 'Adipurush' as a propaganda film, much to everyone's shock. Nobody expected him to view the Prabhas-starrer as a propaganda movie when it is merely a Ramayana-based movie.
Yesterday, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee made a similar comment. She didn't name 'Adipurush' but she named 'The Kashmir Files' and 'The Delhi Files', both directed by Vivek Agnihotri. The filmmaker has, on his part, slapped a legal notice on the TMC chief. Producer Abhishek Aggarwal, too, has slapped a notice on Banerjee.
Both KTR and Banerjee are separated by political background but united by their allegation that the BJP is pumping hundreds of crores to make certain kinds of movies.
As for the audience, they are watching films like 'TKF' and 'The Kerala Story' only if the content is involving.
