Bhumika Chawla, who was once a popular actress in the early 2000s with movies like 'Khushi' and 'Okkadu', has started her second innings a few years ago.
She recently played the role of Venkatesh's wife in Salman Khan's 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan', which unfortunately earned negative talk and is expected to be a failure. Bhumika has acted alongside Salman before in 'Tere Naam' but this time played his sister-in-law, while Pooja Hegde played the lead.
Bhumika spoke about the age gap between actors and actresses in the industry, saying that it is unfair and happens both on and off-screen. She added that the change needs to be made by makers, as the hero is still playing the hero and the female lead has gone backwards in commercial films. In contrast, the web series space is giving senior actors central roles.
