"The Truth Shall set us free! Thousands of innocent women have been systematically converted, radicalized and their lives destroyed. It's their side of the story," director Sudipto Sen said, unveiling the trailer for his May 5th release, 'The Kerala Story'.

The film, touted to be a "spine-chilling, never-told-before true story", claims that several young girls from different parts of Kerala have been trafficked for ISIS-fuelled terror. The story of three such girls is what this social drama attempts to narrate. "Isolate them from their families," a radical religious preacher is heard telling his mercenaries. We see conversations related to religious beliefs and comments that mirror supremacist thinking in the trailer.

Starring Adah Sharma ('Kshanam' fame) as an ISIS slave who is interrogated by investigators, the film also features Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani, Siddhi Idnani, Vijay Krishna, Pranay Pachauri, and Pranav Mishra.

Produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, the film's music is by Viresh Sreevalsa.
