Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam, two veterans of the Indian film industry, are all set to collaborate on a new film after a hiatus of over three decades. Tentatively titled KH234, the movie is currently in its pre-production phase and is scheduled to begin filming later this year.
According to the latest rumors, Lady Superstar Nayanthara has been approached to play the lead role in the movie. Sources suggest that discussions with Nayanthara are already underway and she has expressed her interest in taking up the project. If Nayanthara signs up, it would mark the first collaboration between her, Kamal Haasan, and Mani Ratnam.
However, some reports suggest that Trisha may be roped in for the same role. Trisha has previously worked with Kamal Haasan on two movies, Manmadhan Ambu and Thoongavanam, and with Mani Ratnam on Yuva and the Ponniyin Selvan series.
At present, there is no official confirmation regarding the female lead of the movie. Fans of both actresses will have to wait a few more weeks for the makers to make an announcement on this matter.
