'Rana Naidu' started streaming on Netflix on March 10. Within a couple of hours of its release, Netizens trashed the web series. Many viewers didn't like the portrayal of lewd language, obscene visuals, and sexuality.
The streaming platform has put behind the criticism. It has renewed the web series co-starring Rana Daggubati and Venkatesh. It seems many portions of the second season were shot along with the first season. The second season, as per Netflix, will come with "more twists, turns, and pulsating action".
"Could not get enough of your love. The Naidus are busy sorting season 2," Rana tweeted, announcing the second season, whose streaming date is yet to be made official.
Netflix said that the first season was a huge hit. If true, the controversy surrounding its content worked in its favour.
