Today, the members of Parliament discussed the need to honor the Oscar winners and the RRR team inside the Parliament. It was a significant moment for India's film industry, and the discussion emphasized the importance of recognizing the achievements of the country's filmmakers.

India made history at the 95th Academy Awards by winning two awards. The song "Naatu Naatu" from RRR received the Best Original Song award and Guneet Monga’s documentary "The Elephant Whisperers" won the Best Documentary Short Subject award. The proud achievement sparked a debate between Bollywood and the south in Parliament after Rajya Sabha MP congratulated the winners.

Jaya Bachchan, a veteran actor turned politician, expressed her happiness that the film fraternity was being recognized as the most important ambassadors of the country. She stated that it did not matter to her whether the winners were from the North, East, South, or West, as they were all Indians. She proudly mentioned the names of Satyajit Ray and SS Rajamouli as representatives of the country who had won numerous awards.
