Since a long time, the Tollywood circuit has been facing a challenge, that of sufficient number of heroines for the big heroes. There are nearly half a dozen big stars not considering the senior stars and then there are also the less bigger stars such as Natural Star Nani who also pair up with top grade starlets. As a result, our folks tend to import a lot of girls from other states.
Usually it is the heroines from Kerala, Karnataka and Mumbai that rule the roost. For a long time, the likes of cute smile queen Samantha, milky white beauty Tamannaah, cute hottie Pooja Hegde, sweet Punjabi lassi Rakul Preet Singh were the leading ladies and the time has now come for them to be branded as senior heroines. As such, they have paired up with all the leading heroes and some among them like Tamannaah are already pairing up with the senior heroes too.
So now, all discussions are happening on who is the next set of Tollywood queens and the result is quite disappointing. It is being said that for now only the Bollywood girl Mrinal Thakur and Sreeleela are being seen as the future Tollywood queens. The duo has signed up multiple projects in Telugu with some leading heroes and it must be said that their diaries would be full till the next 2-3 years. Given that, what about the other heroes?
In some cases, we do have someone like Janhvi Kapoor or Kiara Advani who would do a one-off film and disappear. But the film nagar folks say they still need heroines who can camp for a sizable time and fill the slot. Well, this only means that there is a good opportunity for potential heroines of all outside states to make their foray here. The coming days will give us clarity on who could be those lucky ladies.
