The film industry is one place where even the smallest of actors tend to be filled with inflated egos. While they appear to be quite humble and polite in front of the camera or media, the reality is quite different when they are away from the cameras. However, not all actors are the same and it is only those superficial and those lacking in self-confidence who behave so immaturely.
On the other hand, there are those big stars who deserve to be worshipped as demigods and yet they are so grounded that even a common man feels humbled. Tamil star Vijay Sethupathi has come a long way in his life. From an accountant in Dubai to some itsy bitsy roles to a big star who has now cast his spell across the entire nation.
Despite the fact that he has challenges speaking Hindi, Vijay Sethupathi is working with the likes of Shahid Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and others. As a result, he has been tagged as a pan India star. His latest offering 'Farzee', a web series in Amazon Prime has stunned the audience with his performance. But amidst all this frenzy, Vijay has made a point clear.
Sharing his thoughts with the media, Vijay mentioned that he is not comfortable with the tag of 'Pan India Actor' and he is happier being called as an actor and nothing more. He also added how he is willing to work in Punjabi, Gujarati and other regional languages as well but that would never mean he is a Pan India star or something. He maintains that acting for him is a passion and duty.
Even those who know Vijay personally have often shared his warm approach and how he is very natural without any starry airs or attitude. The takeaway from this article is, no matter how successful you are, whichever field you may be in, real greatness lies in being humble and not letting success get into your head. How many of us are really like that in our lives? Maybe we can take a leaf or two from Vijay's book on this.
