The passing of Nandamuri Tarakaratna due to a heart attack has brought grief to many Telugus. He had been receiving treatment for 23 days at Narayana Hrudayalaya Hospital in Bangalore before breathing his last this evening.

Tarakaratna was attending the Yuvagalam Padayatra event organized by TDP National General Secretary Nara Lokesh on January 27 when he suffered a heart attack and collapsed. He was initially taken to a private hospital in Kuppam, and then transferred to Narayana Hrudayalaya Hospital for specialized treatment by foreign medical professionals. Despite their efforts, Tarakaratna's condition did not improve and he passed away after 23 days of treatment, leaving his fans and TDP supporters mourning his loss.

Born on February 22, 1983, in Hyderabad, Tarakaratna was the son of Nandamuri Mohana Krishna. He began his acting career as a lead in the movie "Okato Nombar Kurradu", directed by K. Raghavendra Rao, in 2002, setting a record by simultaneously starting nine films that year. He won the Nandi Award for his role in the movie Amaravati, released in 2009. Tarakaratna is survived by his wife Alekhya and daughter Nishika, whom he married in 2012.
