At a time when he is dealing with big projects and has become a Pan India star, young rebel star Prabhas sprang a surprise when he announced that he is doing a movie with director Maruthi. Till date, Maruthi as a filmmaker has been able to score with lesser known heroes and it has been a while since he scored a sizable hit.
Anyhow, the project has got locked and the tentative title happens to be 'Raja Deluxe'. To those who are not aware, it happens to be the name of an old theatre which is in the Musheerabad area in Hyderabad. While it is not sure if the story has any connection with the theatre, it is heard that Maruthi is going to do a schedule in the same theatre premises.
More than these details, what many are eager to understand is, did Prabhas do the right thing by agreeing to this. After 'Baahubali' Prabhas scored two flops in the form of 'Saaho' 'Radhe Shyam' and it is very important for him to bounce back with a bang. True to that, he is doing 'Salaar' with Prashant Neel and the Bollywood project 'Adipurush' which are being considered as very strong contenders at the box office.
It is possible that Prabhas saw potential in the 'Raja Deluxe' script and believed in the vision of the director. Perhaps he also saw the opportunity to work with Maruthi and help revive his career. Whatever the reason may be, it is important to trust the judgment of an experienced actor who has previously delivered massive blockbusters.
More than Prabhas, it now becomes the responsibility of Maruthi to ensure he shapes 'Raja Deluxe' in a way that matches the stamina and range of Prabhas. Considering this evaluation, it can be said that this is a risky venture for both Prabhas and Maruthi but if it clicks, it is going to create a major buzz.
