Poojitha Ponnada Exudes Classical Elegance as a ‘Narthaki’ in Sridhar Gade’s Rural Horror Drama
Director Sridhar Gade, who made a confident directorial debut with the commercial romantic drama SR Kalyanamandapam, is now back on the floors with his next project. Mounted as Production No. 3 under the esteemed banner of Sri Aishwarya Lakshmi Movies, the film is bankrolled by passionate producer Venkat Talari, who previously backed projects like Aadi Sai Kumar’s Chuttalabbayi and Anand Deverakonda’s thriller Highway.
Marking the birthday of talented actress Poojitha Ponnada, the makers dropped a special character poster introducing her in an elegant, traditional avatar.
A Classical Look Steeped in Mystery
In the newly unveiled first look, Poojitha steps away from contemporary roles to play a graceful Narthaki (classical dancer). Posed within the ornate interiors of a majestic palace courtyard in traditional dance attire, her intense expression blends artistic charm with an underlying sense of mystery. The poster immediately sparks curiosity about the role she plays in shaping the narrative's central conflict.
An Engaging Rural Horror Canvas
Moving away from the breezy romance and family dynamics of SR Kalyanamandapam, director Sridhar Gade is exploring uncharted territory this time with an intriguing rural horror drama. The narrative is designed around authentic village folklore, promising plenty of atmospheric tension, cultural roots, and unpredictable plot turns.
The film features rising young actor Eshwar Rachi Raju, who earned praise for his turn in the youthful hit Committee Kurrollu, playing the central lead. Nandu and Likhitha portray the female leads, while Sindhu Kasaram joins Poojitha Ponnada in playing an essential role.
The ensemble cast includes Suresh Guru, Royal Sri, Matta Sivakumar, Viha Deekonda, Sunitha Manohar, and Amma Ramachandraiah.
Regular Shoot in Full Swing
The unit is currently filming key sequences at a brisk pace across authentic locations. Producer Venkat Talari confirmed that the project is being made without compromising on quality or production values to ensure the horror elements land effectively on the big screen.
The makers plan to reveal the official title, first teaser, and technical crew details in the coming weeks.
