"Content-Driven Cinema Always Wins" — Producer Venu Donepudi

Speaking to the media, producer Venu Donepudi expressed unwavering faith in the project despite a competitive box office window:

"Even amidst stiff competition from big-ticket releases, small and medium-budget films driven by novel concepts have consistently created wonders at the box office. We are confident that Baa Baa Black Sheep will deliver that same magic," stated Donepudi.
The producer also highlighted their extensive filming schedule in Meghalaya and extended heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma for the state's logistical backing:

"Rather than flying abroad, Indian filmmakers have a wonderful opportunity to showcase domestic hidden gems like Meghalaya. To celebrate this connection, we are announcing a special audience contest where lucky winners will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to explore Meghalaya on behalf of our team."

"A Role Close to My Heart" — Upendra Limaye

Acclaimed actor Upendra Limaye, who made an indelible mark in Telugu cinema with Animal and Sankranthiki Vasthunam, expressed immense joy over essaying his first full-length Telugu role:

"I owe my entry into Telugu cinema to my dear friend Sandeep Reddy Vanga. In South India, especially across Telugu states, cinema isn't just entertainment—it's an essential part of life. When director Guni and Vaishakh pitched the story, the originality instantly hooked me. I prioritize script substance over screen time, and this project checked every box."

Cast & Crew Share Meghalaya Shoot Experiences

  • Director Guni Manchikanti credited producer Venu Donepudi for greenlighting the project after a single narration:

"We wrapped pre-production swiftly and mounted a challenging 28-day schedule across uncharted locations in Meghalaya. Ajay’s writing, Vijay’s editing, and Sahi Suresh’s production design formed the backbone of this film. It’s a clean, situational crime entertainer designed for all sections of the audience."
  • Actor Vishnu Oi praised the collaborative atmosphere:

"Sharing screen space with an acting powerhouse like Upendra Limaye garu felt like an acting masterclass every day. From local communities in Meghalaya supporting us to Ajay's picturesque frames, the entire journey has been unforgettable."
  • Actress Malvi Malhotra hinted at surprises within her character:

"My character, Rama, comes with interesting grey shades that deliberately haven't been given away in the trailer. This isn't a conventional hero-heroine template; every single character triggers key moments in the narrative."
  • Debutante Samriddhi Aryaal shared her Telugu learning curve:

"Stepping into Telugu cinema without knowing the language was intimidating, but the team's patience helped me memorize and emote my lines naturally. The warmth I experienced here was truly special."
