The grand trailer launch for Rocking Star Yash’s highly anticipated pan-world magnum opus, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, took place amidst massive fanfare in Bengaluru. Revolving around a dark underworld of power, love, betrayal, and revenge, the trailer offers a glimpse into a high-stakes gangster universe driven by complex father-son relationships and intense double-shaded dynamics.

Directed by award-winning filmmaker Geetu Mohandas and jointly bankrolled by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, the film was shot simultaneously in Kannada and English, and will release in dubs including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam on August 26, 2026.

Yash vs Yash: A Double-Edged Father-Son Conflict

The trailer highlights Yash in two distinct, high-voltage avatars—Raya and Ticket—marking a fierce father-son conflict within a gritty neo-noir world:

  • A Stellar Female Ensemble: The narrative gives equal weight to key characters played by Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth, and Huma Qureshi.
  • Physical Transformation: Speaking at the launch, Yash shared that he stepped out of his comfort zone, spending nearly four years managing multiple looks and shooting over 200 days across both language versions.

"This Belongs to Indian Cinema" – Yash

Addressing fans, press, and guest of honor Kannada Superstar Shiva Rajkumar, Yash emphasized his vision to elevate Indian cinema internationally:

"Toxic is not just my film; it’s an Indian film made with the vision to stand tall on a global platform. We shot this continuously in Kannada and English. Director Geetu Mohandas worked with intense passion and dedication, and our producer Venkat never compromised on a single frame. I work as a humble worker for Indian cinema, and I assure you, Toxic will be a mind-blowing big-screen experience."
