Indian cinema has lost one of its most versatile and terrifying on-screen antagonists. Renowned actor Pradeep Rawat, widely celebrated for playing iconic villainous roles across Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam cinema, passed away on Tuesday evening, August 4, 2026, at the age of 74.
The actor passed away at a hospital in Mumbai following a battle with cancer. His demise was confirmed by his manager, while his Lagaan co-star Yashpal Sharma and fellow actor Gajendra Chauhan shared the heartbreaking news on social media to pay their tributes.
