Carrying forward a legendary cinematic legacy isn't easy, but Jaya Krishna Ghattamaneni—grandson of Superstar Krishna and nephew of Superstar Mahesh Babu—is approaching his big-screen debut with focus, thorough preparation, and deep gratitude.
Directed by Ajay Bhupathi (RX 100, Mangalavaaram), Srinivasa Mangapuram marks Jaya Krishna’s acting debut opposite Rasha Thadani (daughter of Raveena Tandon). Produced by P. Kiran and presented by Vyjayanthi Movies under C. Ashwini Dutt, the film also features veteran actor Dr. Mohan Babu in a powerful role.
Ahead of the film’s worldwide theatrical release on July 30, Jaya Krishna sat down for a heart-to-heart interview detailing his journey, family guidance, and what audiences can expect.
"Mahesh Babai Loved the Action & Songs"
When asked about his family’s reaction to his debut effort, Jaya Krishna couldn't hide his excitement about the encouragement he received from Mahesh Babu:
"Mahesh Babai has been giving me guidance at every step. He watched the film recently and felt really happy with how it turned out. He sent me a personal message saying he loved the action sequences and songs, and pointed out that I completely transformed into the character on screen."

Jaya Krishna also expressed immense pride in debuting under the Vyjayanthi Movies presentation—the same banner that launched Mahesh Babu’s lead debut with Rajakumarudu.
Two Years in Mumbai, New York & Intense Workshops
Jaya Krishna made up his mind to pursue acting at the age of 16 and underwent rigorous professional training across Mumbai, Pondicherry, and New York over four years.
Before hitting the sets, director Ajay Bhupathi put him through a comprehensive three-month workshop covering dialogue delivery, look tests, and character prep.
A Raw, Realistic Love Story with Unique Twists
Describing the film, Jaya Krishna clarified that Srinivasa Mangapuram isn't a routine template romance:

Responding to comments about his resemblance to Mahesh Babu in early teasers, Jaya Krishna noted with a smile, "You might see glimpses in a few shots, but once you watch the movie in theatres, you will only see Srinu."
