Introducing 'Lailam Babu' – Sivaji Takes on a Ruthless Modern Villain Avatar

After establishing a huge wave of reality-show fandom and critical praise for his intense dramatic performance in Court, veteran actor Sivaji is ready to shock audiences in a cold-blooded new avatar. Marking his birthday, the makers of Hailesso have dropped his official first-look character poster, introducing him as the powerful main antagonist 'Lailam Babu'.

The rural action drama stars charismatic actor Sudheer Anand (popularly known as Sudigali Sudheer) in the main lead, marking the landmark fifth film of his career as a lead hero. Helmed by director Prasanna Kumar Kota, the project is being produced on a grand scale by Siva Cherry and Ravikiran as the maiden production venture under the Vajra Varahi Cinemas banner.

A Menacing Throne Room: Black Attire, Stone Throne, and Pure Power

The newly released birthday poster instantly establishes the ruthless nature of Sivaji’s character. Draped in a commanding pitch-black outfit and a traditional panchekattu, Sivaji is seen casually lounging on a massive, hand-carved stone throne.

The Character Vibe: Holding a liquor bottle in one hand with a sharp, calculating expression on his face, the visual design radiates raw authority and rural dominance. The creative team has hinted that 'Lailam Babu' will stand out as one of the most ruthless, performance-heavy villain characters written for regional cinema in recent times, setting up an absolute clash of titans between Sivaji and Sudheer Anand.

The film boasts an impressive multi-language ensemble cast, featuring Natasha Singh and Naksha Sharan as the female leads, alongside a powerful extended appearance by Kannada actress Akshara Gowda. Regional comedy heavyweights Motta Rajendran, Getup Srinu, and Bevara Duhita Saranya have also been locked in for crucial narrative tracks.

Top-Tier Technicians Locked for a Pan-Indian Release

To map out the rustic, dusty visual frames of a rural setting, the production house has assembled a high-profile technical core. Musician Anudeep Dev is composing the musical score, while Sujatha Siddharth supervises the cinematography.

Industry veterans Chota K. Prasad and Brahma Kadali are spearheading the editing and production design departments respectively, based on a screenplay penned by writer Chinta Srinivas and backed by lyrics from Ramajogayya Sastry. Stunt master Prudhvi is designing realistic, raw action sequences to cater to multi-language audiences. Given its universal theme, Hailesso is being actively structured for a wide pan-Indian theatrical release across Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages.
