Twelve years after shifting the landscape of South Indian romantic cinema, the legendary Malayalam blockbuster duo of Nivin Pauly and director Alphonse Puthren is officially back together. Ending years of immense fan anticipation, the makers have formally unveiled the title of their highly anticipated reunion project: Vijayam.

Adding massive significance to the project, Vijayam marks the prestigious milestone 50th film in Nivin Pauly's illustrious acting career. The title announcement video was grandly launched amidst a massive gathering of fans and media personnel at the historic Padma Theatre in Ernakulam.

Moving from Pure Romance to the High-Stakes World of Racing

While the duo's previous industry-defining cult classics, Neram and Premam, focused heavily on hyper-stylized romance, destiny, and dark comedy, Vijayam is set to venture into entirely uncharted territory. The film is officially set against the fast-paced, high-stakes world of professional racing. True to his signature multi-tasking auteur style, Alphonse Puthren is personally handling the film's writing, direction, and final edit layouts.

The title announcement video has instantly gone viral across digital platforms due to its highly unconventional approach. The clip kicks off with a lighthearted, self-aware sequence playfully trolling Alphonse Puthren's unique social media presence, before seamlessly transitioning into a nostalgic trip down memory lane featuring both the director and actor.

A Stellar Creative Team Backing the Landmark Feature

The premium project is being collectively bankrolled by Nivin’s home banner Pauly Jr. Pictures, alongside Tonson Tony and Sunil Ramadi under the Cineholics production house frame, with Kuttu Sivanandan managing the executive production design.

In a massive musical coup, the background score for this racing drama is being crafted by Kerala-born musical prodigy Steve Kottur. Kottur is highly regarded in the industry for his stellar music production work on the blockbuster Durandhar franchise, as well as the heavily anticipated web series Bads of Bollywood*, directed by Aryan Khan.

Given the massive cultural impact their previous collaborations have left on South Indian cinephiles, expectations for Vijayam are hitting an astronomical peak. The production house is expected to announce the final ensemble cast and technical timeline over the coming weeks.
