The streaming giant just unveiled the trailer for Super Subbu, its first-ever Telugu comedy series. Created and directed by Mallik Ram (DJ Tillu fame), the show features an ensemble cast led by Sundeep Kishan, Mithila Palkar, and Murali Sharma.
Set to premiere globally on July 2, Super Subbu promises to be a chaotic comedy of errors that tackles a sensitive subject with a massive dose of small-town humor.
The Plot: A Reluctant Teacher in a Chaotic Village
The series follows the misadventures of Subramanyam "Subbu" Chillukuri Rao (played by Sundeep Kishan), a young teacher who gets posted to the one place no educator wants to go: the notorious, fictitious village of Maakipur.
Desperate to prove his worth to his strict family, Subbu arrives ready for a standard teaching gig, only to be handed the village’s most awkward and explosive assignment—teaching sex education! Armed with zero experience but pure intentions, Subbu must navigate a whirlwind of local gossip, hilarious misunderstandings, and eccentric villagers as he tries to teach them that "no" is a complete sentence.
