"I Shared the Ultimate Pride of a Father" – Megastar Chiranjeevi
Taking the stage to thunderous applause, Megastar Chiranjeevi delivered an emotionally charged speech reflecting on his son's artistic maturity. "While watching Peddi, I completely lost myself in a trance. We did not see Charan on screen; we only saw the living embodiment of the character, Peddi," Chiranjeevi asserted.
The industry veteran shared a highly personal anecdote about the intense physical toll the film took on the actor, including a severe eye injury that required eight stitches on set.
Chiranjeevi on Parental Realization: "When Charan got injured, it instantly reminded me of a conversation with my own father during the shoot of my film Goonda. I had dismissed his fears back then, telling him risks were mandatory to entertain. My father replied, 'When your own son becomes a hero and goes through this pain, you will truly understand a father's agony.' Today, looking at Charan's rigorous transformation and dedication, I understand that completely. Yet, seeing him recognized just yesterday alongside Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the 'New Age Megastar' fills me with 100% parental fulfillment (Puthrotsaham)."
Chiranjeevi lavished praise on director Buchi Babu Sana for accurately extracting the raw emotions of rural soil, credited hit filmmaker Sukumar for discovering such diamonds in the rough, and hailed A.R. Rahman's score as the crowning achievement of the film.
"My Daughter Klin Kaara Now Calls Me Peddi" – Ram Charan
An emotional Ram Charan expressed profound gratitude to the Telugu audience for treating Peddi as an unforgettable lifelong core memory. He noted that the film's unique mass appeal has brought non-traditional audiences, from elderly citizens to young toddlers dancing to the viral track 'Massa Massa', back into single screens.
"Some victories bring joy, but Peddi has completely transformed my life," Ram Charan remarked. "The character has completely overshadowed my real identity, even at home. Until the release of the film, my daughter Klin Kaara used to call me 'Nanna' (Father). Ever since watching the movie, she now actively addresses me as 'Peddi.' To leave such a permanent mark on people's hearts is the greatest reward an actor can ask for."
The actor extended deep gratitude to his mentor Sukumar—calling him the first person he dials during any professional low—and heavily thanked both the Telangana Government (CM Revanth Reddy, Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy) and the Andhra Pradesh Government (CM Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, Minister Kandula Durgesh) for their absolute administrative support in facilitating the smooth release of the film across both states.
Industry Leaders and Technicians Toast a Game-Changing Hit
The event also witnessed high-octane speeches from the creative engine behind the film:
-
Director Sukumar: "Commercial cinema metrics have been completely redefined by Peddi. It is incredibly tough for a top-tier star to trust a concept-driven story where circumstances, not a regular caricature, act as the antagonist. Charan worked with an uncompromised hunger, and he is pure gold." He concluded with a massive tease, leaving the crowd buzzing over his upcoming collaboration, #RC17.
-
Director Buchi Babu Sana: Recalling his younger days in Pithapuram writing letters to Megastar Chiranjeevi that never received replies, the director marveled at the twist of fate that allowed him to narrate his scripts directly at the Megastar's residence. "The entire second half relies solely on Charan's acting. He delivered a performance ten times greater than what I envisioned on paper," he said.
-
Director Anil Ravipudi: Praising the film's structural brilliance, Ravipudi noted, "If Megastar shook the box office during Sankranthi with Sankara Vara Prasad Garu, Ram Charan has set the box office on fire just four months later with Massa Massa. Charan has climbed mountains, built muscle, and rolled in the dirt to deliver an industry-reviving blockbuster."
With technical heavyweights like DOP Ratnavelu, Art Director Avinash Kolla, and lyricists Balaji and Anantha Sriram (who penned three chartbusters for the film) celebrating their creative freedom under producer Venkat Satish Kilaru, the event closed as an absolute celebration of a historic milestone in contemporary Telugu cinema.
