‘Peddi’ is an upcoming rural action drama starring Mega Power Star Ram Charan. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film is proudly presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, and produced on a grand scale by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the Vriddhi Cinemas banner. Ahead of the release, Kannada Superstar Shiva Rajkumar, who plays a pivotal role in the film, caught up with the media to share his insights and experience working on the project.

What elements excited you the most when Director Buchi Babu first narrated this story?
Peddi is an extraordinary story, and my character is beautifully written. I felt it was essential to be part of such a wonderful film. I am incredibly happy to have played such a meaningful role.
What makes your character, 'Gowrinaidu', special?
The character of Gowrinaidu has a distinct purpose and a strong sense of direction. Director Buchi Babu has visualized and brought this character to life beautifully on screen.
Do you play Ram Charan’s coach in the movie?
Yes, it is very much like a coach's character. The journey of the character 'Peddi' is beautifully etched, and he encounters many impactful characters along the way. When it comes to Gowrinaidu, the bond between Peddi and him will be a major highlight. The love, affection, and deep emotional connection between our characters will strongly resonate with the audience.
What can you tell us about Ram Charan’s performance?
I truly believe Ram Charan will win a National Award for this film. His physical transformation and performance are nothing short of spectacular. He worked with immense focus and dedication. For nearly two years, he completely immersed himself in this role and portrayed it with absolute honesty. He is a phenomenal actor.
How was your overall experience shooting for Peddi?
Ram Charan, the director, and the entire technical team treated me with so much affection. We all worked together like a family. It was their immense support that helped me perform my character even better.
Your thoughts on Director Buchi Babu Sana?
Buchi Babu garu has crafted this film brilliantly. His making style and cinematic vision are superb; he stayed entirely true to the script and shot exactly what the story required. His storytelling is mesmerizing—he is a fantastic director.
What about the other characters and technicians in the film?
Alongside my character, Buchi Babu garu has beautifully designed Jagapathi Babu garu's role, as well as all the other supporting characters. Additionally, DOP Rathnavelu garu's visuals will leave the audience absolutely spellbound.
The film reportedly features multiple sports. How is that integrated?
Yes, the movie features various sports. However, every sport is strongly interwoven into the narrative. Audiences will thoroughly enjoy watching how these elements unfold on the big screen.
There is a lot of buzz surrounding the climax. What can we expect?
The film has a very surprising climax, and you must experience it in the theatres to truly enjoy it. The journey of Peddi is beautiful, and I am confident the audience will love it.

What is your personal preparation process for a role?
Once a director narrates a story, I visualize a certain style for the character. I then discuss it with the director, and by blending his inputs with my thoughts, we align on a shared vision before going to the sets.
What kind of roles do you generally prefer to do?
I love doing roles that truly touch my heart. Playing Gowrinaidu in Peddi was exactly that kind of fulfilling experience.
What are your upcoming projects?
Currently, I am working on Gummadi Narasiah and Jailer 2. If good scripts come my way, I would absolutely love to do consecutive films in Telugu cinema.
