"Agadha" Teaser Launch: M.S. Raju Promises a Cinematic Spectacle; Introduces New Legacy Talent

The veteran filmmaker often referred to as the "Maker" of blockbusters, M.S. Raju, is back with his most ambitious project yet. The teaser for his upcoming directorial, "Agadha," was unveiled on Thursday at a grand event in Hyderabad. Produced by Kasi Visalakshi Balusu under the Sri Aadi Varaha Productions banner, the film is being mounted as a massive Pan-India project releasing in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.

A Visionary’s Dream Project

Speaking at the launch, M.S. Raju described Agadha as a visual wonder that transcends the glimpses shown in the teaser.

  • The Scale: The director emphasized that while the teaser sets the mood, the film contains numerous layers and surprises yet to be revealed.

  • The Cast: He lauded Kamakshi Bhaskarla for her intense portrayal of Mahadevi and credited Shravan Reddy as the backbone of the project, predicting the film would catapult his career to new heights.

  • A New Legacy: The film marks the Telugu debut of Jovika Vijay Kumar, the daughter of actress Vanitha Vijay Kumar and granddaughter of the legendary Manjula. M.S. Raju noted that Jovika is set to carry forward her grandmother’s prestigious cinematic legacy.

Insights from the Lead Stars

The event saw the lead cast share their emotional connection to the script:

  • Kamakshi Bhaskarla: The actress expressed her gratitude for the role of Mahadevi, stating that some characters stay with an artist forever, and this is one of them.

  • Shravan Reddy: Having been introduced by M.S. Raju in Dirty Hari, Shravan highlighted the vast difference in the scale and complexity of Agadha, calling it a deeply layered film.

  • Ulka Gupta: The actress, who started her career as a child artist, described her role as a significant milestone in her acting journey.
