"System" on Prime Video: Sonakshi Sinha and Jyotika Lead an Intense Courtroom Battle Between Privilege and Justice

Prime Video has officially greenlit the global release of its latest Original film, "System," a high-stakes legal thriller slated to premiere on May 22. Directed by the acclaimed Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, the film explores the dark corridors of the legal world, where power often overshadows the pursuit of truth.

Produced by Harman Baweja, Pammi Baweja, and Smitha Baliga under the Baweja Studios banner, the film will be available to stream in over 240 countries and territories.

A Clash of Two Worlds

The narrative of System centers on an unexpected partnership between two women from vastly different social strata.

  • The Characters: Sonakshi Sinha portrays Neha Rajvansh, a public prosecutor born into a life of privilege, while Jyotika plays Sarika Rawat, a dedicated courtroom stenographer from a humble background.

  • The Conflict: As they navigate a world governed by entitlement, their alliance forces them to confront buried injustices and decide whether to protect the status quo or dismantle the very system they serve.

Cast and Creative Vision

The film features a powerful ensemble cast that brings depth to its moral dilemmas:

  • Lead Performances: Sonakshi Sinha, Jyotika, and Ashutosh Gowariker headline the project with what the makers describe as "power-packed performances."

  • Supporting Cast: The ensemble includes Preeti Agarwal, Adinath Kothare, Aashriya Mishra, Gaurav Pandey, and Sayandeep Gupta.

  • The Script: A collaborative writing effort by Harman Baweja, Arun Sukumar, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, Tasneem Lokhandwala, and Akshat Ghildial, the screenplay is designed to be a "genre-bending" experience that blends emotional weight with the fast-paced nature of a courtroom thriller.

Themes of Ethics and Ambition

According to the creators, System is more than just a legal drama; it is a social commentary on the ethics of ambition. Director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari aims to deliver a "thought-provoking" cinematic experience that keeps audiences guessing at every turn, ultimately questioning the true definition of justice in a lopsided society.
