"Kandula Sulochana Rani" Arrives: Anupama Parameswaran’s Spirited Look from Sharwanand’s Pan-India Epic ‘Bhogi’ Revealed
The buzz surrounding Charming Star Sharwa’s ambitious pan-India project, "Bhogi," has reached a new high. In a high-stakes collaboration with "Mass Maverick" Sampath Nandi, the film is being mounted as a grand period action saga. Produced by KK Radhamohan under the Sri Sathya Sai Arts banner, Bhogi marks a bold reinvention for Sharwa, shifting away from his usual roles into a raw and intense world.
To celebrate the ongoing momentum, the makers have officially introduced the film's leading lady, Anupama Parameswaran, as Kandula Sulochana Rani.
The Look: A Gritty, Earthy Transformation
The newly released character poster showcases Anupama in a striking village belle avatar that feels authentic to the film’s 1960s backdrop.
-
The Visuals: Walking barefoot on a dusty trail, Anupama is seen balancing a large woven basket of leaves on her head while clutching a tiffin box. Dressed in a rustic, faded half-saree, her expression is one of grit and quiet determination.
-
The Persona: Sulochana Rani is depicted as a resilient worker who crafts leaf plates from Moduga leaves (known as the "Flame of the Forest"). The makers describe her as the "elemental force" that anchors the protagonist, Ganga.
-
Dedication to Craft: Anupama has reportedly undergone extensive preparation to master the specific dialect and diction required for this role, aiming to bring a grounded realism to the screen.
Production Update: Forest Schedules Wrapped
Director Sampath Nandi and his team are moving at a brisk pace. After completing major high-intensity action blocks in Rajamahendravaram and the dense forest regions of Rampachodavaram and Maredumilli, the team has wrapped up several key schedules.
-
What's Next: The production is now moving to Hyderabad, where a fresh schedule is set to kick off in the first week of May.
A Massive Period Spectacle
Bhogi is set along the borders of Telangana and Maharashtra in the early 1960s, promising a unique blend of culture and conflict.
-
Ensemble Cast: Alongside Sharwa and Anupama, the film stars Dimple Hayathi in a significant lead role.
-
Technical Excellence: The visual world is being crafted by cinematographer Kishore Kumar Arokia and art director Kiran Kumar Manne, with a high-energy soundtrack being composed by Bheems Ceciroleo.
Grand Festive Release
Positioned as a major theatrical event, Bhogi is scheduled for a Pan-India release on August 28th. The film will arrive in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi, coinciding with the Raksha Bandhan festive weekend.
