Sriram and Mahima Gupta are playing the lead roles in the new movie "Chinthamani Sontha Katha." The film is directed by Prem Raj and produced by B. Rajeev Kumar, Rakesh Karre, Dr. NV Rao, and Srinivas Pasupuleti under the Mitra Movie Makers banner. The movie was officially launched today with a traditional pooja ceremony at Ramanaidu Studios in Hyderabad.
Prominent guests attended the event. MLC Dr. Addanki Dayakar gave the first clap, while retired GHMC official Vandana Kumar switched on the camera. Social activist Dr. Srinivas directed the first shot. Senior actor Kasi Viswanath and writer Nivas handed over the script to the director.
Producer B. Rajeev Kumar stated that they decided to produce this film because of its strong story and content. Producer Dr. NV Rao added that their banner aims to make movies that provide a good message to the audience. Another producer, Rakesh Karre, compared the film's title (CSK) to the IPL team, predicting it would be a big winner.
Director Prem Raj, who has previously made three message-oriented films, described this fourth project as a commercial crime thriller. He mentioned that despite the crime elements, the film features deep emotional drama between a husband and wife and is designed to appeal to the youth. The movie is being made as a straight film in Telugu and Hindi, and will be dubbed in Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
Hero Sriram expressed his excitement, calling it a meaningful crime thriller with plenty of twists and action. Heroine Mahima Gupta, making her Telugu debut, thanked the makers for the opportunity to play the title role. Lyricist Mittapalli Surender mentioned that the film features songs written by legends like Suddala Ashok Teja and Chandrabose.
