Directed by Satish Javvaji and starring Harsh Roshan and Sridevi, the film hit theaters on March 26, 2026, and is currently enjoying a successful run. Producer and acclaimed writer Kona Venkat shared a deeply personal story during the event, attributing his career and the film's success to a life-changing moment he once had on a Chennai beach.
"I once saw a young girl with no arms or legs selling balloons on a beach. Seeing her zest for life despite her struggles made me realize the value of living. Since then, I have dedicated myself to writing and introducing new talent. Band Melam is a result of that passion. It has reached break-even in just four days, and I rank it among the Top 3 films of my career as a producer. Seeing the satisfaction on the faces of the audience in theaters is my greatest reward."
Kona Venkat also announced that after some additional filming, the movie will be released in Marathi on October 16, further expanding its reach.
